Whole30 Diet-Snacks For a Movie Night
Having a fun movie time with your girl gang tonight? Don’t you worry, you can still be on a diet and go easy with your snack options. Try these super tasty snacks that are suitable for those following a Whole30 diet, and you will not miss a bucket of popcorn. These mouthwatering snacks will satiate your hunger pangs as well.
Kale Chips
Use the kale leaves (eliminate the stalks) for making these chips. Wash and pat dry the leaves, coat the leaves well with some coconut oil, dust a little salt and onion powder, and spread the leaves out on the baking tray. Bake them and enjoy the snack.
Trail Mix
This one is quite easy to put together if you have some roasted cashews, almonds, walnuts, dried coconut pieces, raisins, dried unsweetened cranberries, mango and pineapple pieces. You could also add some sunflower, pumpkin, and flax seeds for even a delicious flavor.
Salad Wrap
Open up some fresh lettuce and fill it in with readymade turkey strips, some grated carrots, sliced bell peppers, and a spoonful of homemade salsa. Wrap these into tiny pockets and stick a toothpick, so it stays put until it finds its way into hungry stomachs that are on a Whole30 diet.
Fruits with nut butter
Warm almonds in the oven, grind them in the food processor along with a pinch of sea salt and a little cinnamon powder. Enjoy juicy apples or pears, or some fresh raspberries or blueberries with this delicious almond butter.
Vegetable skewers
Cut potatoes, carrots, colorful bell peppers, onions and zucchini into little squares. Smear them with a mixture of olive oil, garlic powder, salt, cayenne pepper powder, a little lime juice, and dried Italian herbs. Arrange them on bamboo skewers and roast them over the grill until it is cooked.
Almond flour crackers
Preheat an oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit, and push in a baking tray arranged with cracker dough. For the dough, mix some blanched almond flour, tapioca flour, flat seed powder, dried rosemary and thyme, a little olive oil, water, and salt to taste. Sprinkle this with roasted sesame seeds for added flavor.
Zucchini Carrot Noodles
With a spiralizer make fresh zucchini and carrot noodles and sauté them quickly for a few seconds on a hot pan. Transfer them to a bowl, add little fresh homemade salsa and some freshly ground black pepper, garnish with a few basil leaves and enjoy the aromatic Whole30 diet snack.
Lemony Shrimp
A ready-to-cook pack of shrimps, when dunked into a bowl with this lime mixture and roasted on the BBQ grill, is nothing but heavenly. To make the lime mixture, simply add the juice of 1 lime along with a little olive oil, some garlic and cumin powder, cayenne pepper, salt, minced coriander leaves, and a little smoked paprika.
Creamy sweet potato dip
Arrange a plate with colorful raw vegetables like baby carrots, colored bell peppers, cucumbers, and juicy cherry tomatoes. Into a food processor, add-in cooked sweet potato, freshly minced garlic, some lemon juice, a spoon full of tahini sauce, and a pinch of salt along with a little water and grind into a smooth, creamy texture. Now dip your favorite vegetables in this flavorful dip and enjoy as a Whole30 diet snack.
